Fencing suspended during lockdown
Unfortunately no fencing is permitted during the Covid lockdown.
It seems likely that when the lockdown is lifted, we will return to
the tier system. In that case we expect that fencing will
eventually be able to resume, of course with changes necessary to
prevent the spread of Covid. These will almost certainly be
similar to the ones we developed last Autumn (see here), very likely with the addition of a facility for longer-term loan of kit against a deposit.
Return-to-Fencing Survey
Many thanks to those who responded to the survey earlier this
term. We had 30 responses, with a 87% keen to return to fencing
even with Covid restrictions. A copy of the questions and detailed
results are available here.
